At Gökerplast, environmental responsibility is an important part of our product and manufacturing strategy. We continuously work to reduce virgin plastic consumption, make more efficient use of natural resources and minimize the environmental impact of our products.

Our Recycled Security Seals are manufactured primarily using Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastics – materials recovered from plastic products that have already been used by consumers, collected, sorted and recycled. By giving these materials a second life, we reduce the need for virgin plastics and support a more circular economy.

For selected products and applications, Post-Industrial Recycled (PIR) materials can also be used.

Our Environmental Approach

Through our products and manufacturing processes, Gökerplast aims to:

• Reduce virgin plastic consumption by increasing the use of PCR materials
• Give post-consumer plastic waste a second lifecycle
• Support the circular economy
• Reduce plastic consumption through lightweight and material-efficient product designs
• Reduce the environmental and carbon footprint of our products
• Use renewable energy – approximately 35% of our factory's total energy consumption is already supplied by solar energy
• Increase the use of recycled and recyclable materials across our product range

Depending on the model and technical requirements, selected Gökerplast security seals can be manufactured with significant levels (up to %50) of Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content, providing a more sustainable alternative to conventional plastic security seals.
